Your Treatment Schedule

Supporting a loved one who has cancer

DOXIL® and VELCADE® (bortezomib) are intravenous (IV) medications given by a healthcare professional in a doctor’s office or clinic.

Your treatment with DOXIL® and VELCADE® will begin with VELCADE®.

VELCADE® is given as a bolus injection on Days 1, 4, 8, and 11 of a 21-day treatment cycle. The VELCADE® injection will take 3 to 5 seconds to complete. DOXIL® will be given as an infusion on Day 4 of the treatment cycle after you receive VELCADE. The DOXIL® infusion will take about 1 hour to complete. You may be treated with DOXIL® and VELCADE® for up to 8 cycles depending on your response and tolerability to therapy.

Each treatment cycle with DOXIL® and VELCADE® happens every 21 days.
